Mary Ann's Grandchildren through Lola Jane A. Justesen

Lola Jane Allred married John Franklin Justesen on November 13, 1895. Spring City farmer/rancher he also served as postmaster and as Spring City mayor.
Their first child, daughter Elizabeth Cleo was born 9 Aug 1896, the year Utah became a state. I have identified two husbands for Cleo: Claude Waltimer Burquist and Ernest Millerschoen. Both Cleo and Ernest passed away in California, I believe. Cleo had on child, Franklin Claude Burquist, born in Spring City in 1924 and passing away in California in 2011.
Edith Fern was the second child, born 25 Dec 1898. I find her with her husband William Frank Andersen. Her obituary ran in the Deseret News January 13, 1987, stating she died in a Salt Lake nursing home of natural causes. I find records with spellings of both "en" and "on" but find that Edith's daughter has a son whose middle name is spelled Andersen. I use this evidence for my spelling the family name with the "en". The number of Danish immigrants to Sanpete would also suggest this spelling is correct. Edith's only child, daughter Helen Dawn Andersen, survives her husband Robert Rue Hansen who passed away in 2008. She has three children which will be numbered with Mary Ann's great-grandchildren.
Sarah Maxine was born 25 Sep 1900 and died in a Salt Lake City hospital on 9 Dec 1964. I find various dates for both birth and death. An obituary ran in the Deseret News Friday, Dec. 10, 1965, page 10B. THis record tells us Sarah was an elementary School teacher as well as serving on the LDS Stake Sunday School Board. I have identified no children of Sarah's and husband Rulon Peter Peterson. Neither her obituary nor their headstones refer to any children. They are buried at Ehpraim Park Cemetery, Rulon having joined his wife in rest on April 27, 1989.
Mary Hazel, 1903 to 1985, Her husband Clinton S. "Brick" Robison, 1903-1990, was born in Pleasant Grove, Utah County but grew up i Bingham Canyon. He was a butcher and grocer. He served also on the Bingham Canyon Volunteer Fire Department. They had three children: Mary Sue who died at two years of age, Clinton J and Samuel P.
Inez Ophelia, 1904 to 1990 and her husband, Lyman Sheldon Monsen of Mt Pleasant were parents to three sons, J Sheldon, Stephen B and John P. and I have identified 17 grandchildren.
John Evans the only son of Lola and John Franklin was born8 Jul 1908. He had been hauling livestock in Pigeon Hallow in Sanpete county when the truck overturned, crushing him and assigning him the statistic of first auto death of 1938.

An Overdue Correction

I find in the Salt Lake papers this morning the obituary of Margaret Boud Coombs, 94, daughter of Joseph Edwin and Irene Delaney Boud. I have not known prior to this that that couple had this child. I find also, in the 1930 US Federal Census they have a son, Robert four years younger than Margaret. My post of July 31, 2010 then is incorrect and I show a lapse in researching. I am certain this will not be the only error I find as I go on with this story of this remarkable family. At other times I will find more complete information; when I find either: errors or incomplete information, my goal is to correct it as quickly as I am able.

So, while I have not gotten to the grandchildren of Elizabeth Pollard Boud let me introduce Margaret Boud, born 1916 in Salt Lake City and married 1939 Alan Coombs. A graduate of University of Utah at age 20 with a degree in Science and Education. Margaret and her husband were restauranteurs in Salt Lake for over thirty years and active supporters of the local ski industry.
They have four children. Alan Coombs passed away 1976. Margaret- Margie- passed away August 20, this past Saturday.

I am sure her family has our collective sympathy and condolences. Her obituary is posted at www.larkinmortuary.com

I will search for more information about our kin Robert, as well.

And I extend my apologies for my error.
