Grandchildren of Elizabeth Pollard Boud

Through John William Boud and Nellie Jeremy there were five grandchildren; two, a granddaughter in 1906 and grandson in 1917 were stillborn or died shortly after birth. The surviving children would produce 20 great-grandchildren.
Dorothy Agnes Boud, wife of Wilford Moyle Burton, was born 8 May 1908 in Salt Lake City, where she would pass away on 28 Oct 1999. They were married June 28, 1934 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. Her obituary of Sunday October 31, 1999 reports on a life of dignity and love, of joy in music and in service. A great concern for her fellows she especially reached out for ways to aid youth at risk or in need, helping to establish Utah Youth Village. She was recognized by the Utah Symphony with it Distinguished Service Award in 1979, in 1970 she was named Cancer Control Woman of the Year by the American Cancer Society, and The University of Utah Emeritus Club recognized her with its Merit Honor Award.
These must have been points of great pride for her family and friends; perhaps she will remembered longer and deeper for the loving care within the family and in the church community where she served with Young Women, Relief Society and in the mission field with her husband. At the time of her death she was survived by her husband and children Dorothy Ann, Wilford Boud and Margaret Jane. Wilford Moyle Burton passed away in 2006.
John William Boud, born 10 Nov 1912 in Salt Lake City died there on 14 July 2005. On 20 May 1949 he married Sharon Mignon Robbins of Salt Lake City. They are parents of 12 children. One son, Robert, preceded him in death. John was active in scouting, achieving the Eagle Scout rank. A graduate of University of Utah in Business Administration and later from the University of Utah Law School. He had served an LDS mission in the British Isles and served his country in the US Navy where he attained the rank of Lieutenant Commander and had the distinction of being the first LDS Navy chaplain. His service was during WWII.
A prominent business man in his community he was founder/CEO of Fashion Fabrics, Inc. He was a leader also in his local church community as well as serving a mission with his wife as president of the Pennsylvania Harrisburg Mission. His obituary in the Deseret Morning News of Saturday July 16, 2005 portrays an active family man, deeply loved. In addition to Robert, his children are John W., David C., James R., Joseph R., Stephen R., Richard R., Rebecca E., Barbara R., Mark R., Elizabeth R. and Thomas J. Boud
Barbara Nelly Boud, 19 August 1920 to 11 September 1989, was married to Boyd C Erickson, 1922 to 2002, and mother to Robert B., Richard J., Thomas B., Stephen C. and James W. Erickson. Her marriage took place at the Salt Lake City on February 20, 1943. Her husband served in the US Army for the first several years of their marriage. Following this Boyd was employed by United States Steel, Geneva Works and they made their home in Orem, Utah. With five sons Scouting was a natural activity and surely brought many young men into their lives from their community.

  1. In the Salt Lake Tribune of Friday June 8, 2012 on page B6 we read Sharon Mignon Robbins Boud's obituary. "After a life of service to her family, church and community," it tells us she passed away June 7 peacefully. Daughter of Calvin Bicknell and Ruby Maud Allen Robbins, she was born 30 June 1926. She is survived by three daughters and nine sons.
